GP APPOINTMENT? CAN’T MAKE IT? DON’T WANT IT? CANCEL IT!

Missed GP appointments are costing NHS England £216 million pounds per year!!

When you miss an appointment at the surgery, it means that another patient who needs to be seen will have no appointment available.

In the week beginning 30th Jan, we lost 148 appointments through patients not turning up to their consultation.

In the week beginning 6th Feb this figure was 127 appointments.

Last week (the week beginning 13th Feb) 119 patients did not attend for their appointments.

We understand that, sometimes, you cannot make an appointment however we request that you contact us at least 30 mins prior to your appointment to give us the best chance of refilling the slot.

PLEASE NOTE BETWEEN 8AM AND 9AM WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT CALLS TO BOOK SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS FOR GP.  IF YOUR ENQUIRY IS REGARDING ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE RING LATER IN THE DAY

YOU CAN REQUEST GP APPOINTMENTS IN ADVANCE USING THE EASY TO COMPLETE FORM ON THE APPOINTMENTS TAB. 

WE DONT ACCEPT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS OVER THE TELEPHONE.  YOU CAN REQUEST YOUR MEDICATION THROUGH THE NHS APP, ONLINE PATIENT ACCESS, BY CONTACTING YOUR NOMINATED PHARMACY, BY EMAILING THE SURGERY OR THROUGH THE CHEETHAM MILL MEDICAL CENTRE WEBSITE.
